Proceeds from the annual sale and renewal of the Florida Panthers license tag benefit the Florida Panthers Foundation and the Florida Sports Foundation Major & Regional Grant Program. 10% of each tag sale is donated to the Florida Panthers Foundation. Since the debut of the license tag, the program has generated more than $166,000 for the Youth Foundation. The mission of the Florida Panthers Foundation is to build a better future for the children of South Florida. Through philanthropic partnerships, grants, donations and community outreach programs, the Foundation maintains a focus on children's health, fitness, education and cultural needs. 80% of the proceeds generated from the sale of the Florida Panthers license tag are designated for the Florida Sports Foundation Major & Regional Grant Programs. The grant programs provide support to Florida’s communities hosting sporting events that generate significant out-of-state impact in their area. Including in South Florida:Various AAU Championships; North American Roller Hockey Championships; Snowbird Baseball; USTA National Championships; NAIA Championships; Various YMCA Championships; and the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl. |
